The first advantage of a netbook is its portability. The screen of the device measures just 10 inches (25.4 cm). You might find the device inadequate for some applications but in some situations, the netbook is truly excellent. Those who travel a lot for them the 10″ laptop is like a blessing. They aren’t very powerful, but simple things like I mentioned can be handled fine. They are smaller and easier to carry, but you can’t really do a lot of multi-tasking on them. Netbooks also do not have a CD drive. They are really meant for simple tasks, so they can be good for college, but if you need to do a lot of work, like use MS Word to type a report while you’ve got 5 browser windows open to do research and listed to CD’s at the same time, a netbook will not give you what you need.
