Netbooks are grate for school. Light wight and small, if you get the right one they can be zippy. Most of them have the same hardware. You should look for something with Intel atom 1.6ghz or more with at least 1gb of ram and at least 100gb hard drive. Some of them have ubuntu installed on them instead of windows. Try and find one with windows installed on it. They are kind of like tablets with keyboard and more power. So reading is not to hard, I have one and I hold it up like a tablet to read. You can all so make text bigger by pressing ctrl +. Like I said most of them have the same hardware, so look for one with the specs I listed. I my self have a gateway LT21, I think they stopped making them. I got a REALLY good deal on cragslist. For $50, its was $300 new and should have sold for $150 used. Use cragslist and you can find them for 100-150. Just make sure you theroly test it out before you buy it. Check all the keys, use the internet ect…I would not get one smaller then 10.1″ Oh and dont get asus EEE pc they come with ubuntu and most of them are slow.
