Recently the Wall Street Journal published an article about a new security flaw found in the PayPal iPhone application.
Paypal, a popular internet-payment company, launched an iPhone application six months prior that would allow users to receive and send funds from their iPhone. Unfortunately, PayPal failed to test sufficiently and didn’t verify that the phone was communicating directly with PayPal’s servers. This issue created the opportunity for a hacker to redirect traffic to his or her own server and trick the user into giving the user’s account information. Of course, this information could then be used to access the victim’s credit cards and bank accounts.
Acer has quickly become one of the world’s largest manufacturers of personal computers. This is especially impressive since the company does not have a history of producing PCs that goes back as far as some of their competition. HP and Toshiba have both been manufacturing computers for the consumer market for much longer than Acer. Acer is now the world’s ninth largest computer manufacturer. The first PC manufactured by Acer that truly made a dent in the market was the Aspire PC that was introduced in 1995. One year later the company expanded more heavily into consumer electronics and prepared to become the worldwide powerhouse that they are now.
Editor’s Note:
Zippo lighter fluid & a cotton ballGoo Gone will safely remove the bonding adhesive…use a hair dryer to warm the sticker – it should lift off without any trouble. if there is any residue of glue, you could use mineral spirits applied to a rag first then wipe the area. it will not attack the plastic.
